Bluegrass for Babies, Inc.

Our Mission

Bluegrass for Babies, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization that strives to improve children’s health via:

(1) Annual fundraising event with proceeds benefitting the Perinatal Institute of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

(2) Providing education & tools about the importance of a healthy lifestyle to parents of young children.

Our Inspiration

Co-founders Matt & Anne Schneider were inspired to give back to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center following the life-saving surgery their son Nicholas received when he was two days old.  Bluegrass for Babies was born in 2009.  Go to http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/give/stories/nicholas.htm for more information.

Our Results

In just 3 years, Bluegrass for Babies has raised an incredible $45,000 and attracts substantially more supporters each year with 2,500 attending in 2011. Last year’s  $30,000 donation benefited the Perinatal Institute of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

Event Info

This year’s festival will be held on Saturday, September 22nd at Sawyer Point in downtown Cincinnati .  We will be featuring live music by The Comet Bluegrass All-Stars, organic and locally grown food, children’s activities, a silent auction, and practical, and trustworthy health information. We anticipate approximately 5,000 people, a majority being families with young children.  Proceeds will benefit the Perinatal Institute of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
