About the Greater Cincinnati Regional Climate Collaborative

The Greater Cincinnati Regional Climate Collaborative (RCC) serves as a network for public agencies to better understand regional climate impacts on their communities and advance adaptation and mitigation solutions. The Collaborative will facilitate peer sharing, highlight best practices among local governments, develop opportunities for regional collaboration and program implementation, and help secure funding and technical assistance. Network partners will also include academia, non-profit organizations, business and community leaders. Check out Regional Collaboratives for Climate Change — A State of the Art from the Institute for Sustainable Communities to learn more about RCCs.

Since Spring 2021, Green Umbrella has been a member of the Regional Collaboratives Forum hosted by Georgetown Climate Center. In August 2021, Green Umbrella led regional participation in a pilot program--Regional Collaboration for Equitable Climate Solutions--hosted by the Institute for Sustainable Communities, exploring how to center equity in the next generation of climate collaboratives. And in Spring 2022, Green Umbrella and its regional team were invited to be one of the first regions in the country to join the Urban Equity Climate Compact.

Greater Cincinnati joins more than 30 other Regional Climate Collaboratives working to address climate impacts and improve the quality of life in communities, resilience of infrastructure, and predictability of budget.
