Red Bike is looking for Outreach and Education Ambassadors to advance Red Bike’s industry-leading equity program, grow Red Bike membership and usage, build awareness about Red Bike within targeted communities, and assist with addressing customer service concerns of existing Red Bike members. A successful candidate will be an outgoing people person, who combines a strong understanding of community organizing with a knowledge and passion for customer service and who has strong relationship building skills. The Outreach and Education Ambassadors will report to the Outreach and Education Manager.

Red Bike is the region’s most fun system of public transportation: A bike sharing system serving Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky with 600 classic and electric-assist bicycles from 62 stations. Red Bike is a non-profit organization dedicated to the joy and wellness of our neighbors by providing a low-cost, healthy, and green transportation option that makes Greater Cincinnati more vibrant and connected.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Advance Red Bike Go, Red Bike’s nationally recognized equity outreach program that connects low income and minority individuals to Red Bike.
  • Plan, organize, and execute community and neighborhood events to introduce and promote Red Bike.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Take the message of Red Bike out into the community and talk to people and organizations about the benefits of riding a bike for transportation or recreation.
  • Build relationships throughout the community to interact with people, create partnerships, and increase bike riding.
  • Organize and conduct community bike rides and other events to promote and encourage bike riding.
  • Answer customer service calls and respond to them to a ensure positive resolution.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Team oriented and focused on continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of computer software and social media applications.
  • Self-motivated and ability to deal with and meet changing deadlines.
  • Comfortable riding a bicycle in city traffic.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs., ride up to 10 miles per day in urban areas; stoop, bend, and stand for long periods.
  • Willingness and ability to work evenings and/or weekends.
  • Commitment to having fun.
