    About this position:

    Sol design + consulting is looking for a versatile, hands‐on professional with building knowledge and skills to assist both our architectural design and green building certification teams. As part of the architectural team, the role will work on all aspects of design work, including project documentation, coordination of consultants’ work, conducting code and product research, and preparing construction documents. As part of the certification team, the role will provide design review and analysis, on‐site inspections, testing and documentation. Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are an essential requirement of this role. We are accepting applicants for both our Cincinnati and Cleveland offices.     Responsibilities:

    • Work on multiple architectural design projects, from concept design through construction administration.
    • Model conceptual designs, prepare and edit architectural drawings, conduct product research and code analysis, and coordinate with consultants to maintain a coordinated drawing set.
    • Work on multiple projects in multiple green certification programs including LEED, Passive House, Enterprise Green Communities, ENERGY STAR, and other programs, often on tight deadlines.
    • Review drawings and specifications to verify that sustainable measures are incorporated.
    • Extract accurate data from project drawings for energy model input.
    • Collect and organize all required documentation for certification from the project design and construction team, clients and other sources.
    • Conduct construction site inspections and energy performance testing. This can require one or two travel days per week, and overnight travel about two nights per month.
    • Pitch in to help colleagues and clients as needed in our small, rapidly growing business.

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.
    • 1‐3 years or more of experience in building design or energy rating/consulting.
    • Strong AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or other 3D design software skills.
    • Experience preparing construction documents.
    • LEED Accredited Professional, LEED Green Associate, or PHIUS certifications are preferred.
    • Ability to effectively communicate technical and program concepts in written and verbal form to people at all levels.
    • Excellent organization and time management skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Passion for sustainability.

    Salary and Benefits:

    Starting salary is $45,000 ‐ $60,000 depending on experience. Sol offers an excellent benefit package including health, dental, vision, limited life, and 401k employer contributions.

    Position Summary

    The Social Media & Platform Coordinator is responsible for producing engaging, compelling visual content for Marketing & Communications on the benefits of solar energy for residential and commercial customers. Social Media responsibilities will include posting, ad creation, monitoring on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter etc. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Social Media & Platform Coordinator will be a part of a sales and marketing group of Solar Energy Solutions and will coordinate with the operations team on installation media for posting. Platform management will include transferring leads from various planforms into the CRM. This position is in Cincinnati and may require some regional travel very occasionally. The selected individual should be a creative self-starter with a passion renewable energy and a strong attention to detail.

    Position Responsibilities: Social Media

    • Create, manage, and post regular content and messaging for all official SES social media channels.
    • Respond to comments as required and report any problems or negative social interactions immediately
    • Coordinate content on social media sites that ensures a consistent message to the various sectors that SES work with (residential, commercial, agricultural etc) within the brand and mission of the SES.
    • Stay up to date with social media trends and current best practices.

    Summary:

    The Solid Waste Coordinator under general supervision oversees county solid waste, litter abatement, and recycling programs which includes program development and data collection and plans and coordinates related community events including volunteer coordination. The Solid Waste Coordinator manages all litter abatement activities including supervising staff, volunteer, or inmate work crews performing regular litter pick up on county roads and at public recycling locations. The Coordinator is generally assigned to work as part of the crew but may be assigned to work alone as necessary. The coordinator may assist with blight complaints and compliance as needed.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities: includes, but are not limited to:

    • Plans, coordinates, and serves as liaison for various solid waste events and programs including the Spring and Fall County Clean-Ups, Waste Tire Collection Event, Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event, Trash for Cash Program, Holiday Tree and Light Recycling Programs;
    • Manages administration of equipment, volunteers, vendors, and staff for the successful execution of Litter Abatement and Solid Waste events;
    • Represents the county at community events and performs educational outreach related to recycling and solid waste initiatives;
    • Assists with the design and distribution of information (infographics, posters, articles, advertisements, flyers, pamphlets) to advertise solid waste and recycling programs;
    • Collects necessary data in preparation for annual department report, State Litter Abatement Report, and other applicable grant programs;
    • Represents the County on applicable boards and committees including the Northern Kentucky Solid Waste Management Area and maintains awareness of federal, state, and local regulations;
    • Participates in the development of the regional Solid Waste 5-Year Plan;
    • Responds to solid-waste related citizen inquiries;
    • Establishes daily priorities for county roads that would most benefit from a litter work crew or Trash for Cash group;
    • Operates county vehicle to pick-up staff, volunteers or inmates, transport to and from worksites along county roadways in compliance with all highway safety laws;
    • Supervises work crews engaged in litter pick-up activities and disposes of trash bags as required;
    • Maintains accurate daily records of litter collected, mileage and vehicle use as outlined by the Kentucky Division of Waste Management grant program; establishes and maintains a variety of filing, record keeping and tracking systems;
    • Researches and recommends new programs related to recycling and solid waste management;
    • Conducts daily check-ins at public recycling locations, performs clean up as necessary, contacts and educates residents who violate recycling location rules and relays service issues to providers in a timely manner and reviews recycling program billing and expenses;
    • Monitors the Large Appliance Recycling Program to ensure proper recycling of items collected
    • May perform fieldwork and research in response to blight and code compliance concerns related to solid waste disposal; and
    • Assumes duties/responsibilities of coworkers and performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications (knowledge, skills and abilities):

    • Ability to interpret and apply pertinent local, state, and federal codes and regulations and develop an understanding of the policies and legislation regarding solid waste disposal and litter abatement in the State of Kentucky;
    • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours during a variety of weather conditions when needed for events and special projects;
    • Demonstrates an interest in general sustainability practices and issues, zero waste principles, waste recovery and their relevance to the community;
    • Strong customer service skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, county officials and the general public;
    • Knowledge of materials, methods, and techniques commonly used in the solid waste industry and the equipment necessary for the efficient delivery of solid waste services;
    • Computer proficiency using email, scheduling, spreadsheets and data processing applications; and
    • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and to meet the physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to, use of vision, walking, standing, reaching and lifting/moving objects that weigh up to 50 pounds.

    Education and Experience:

    High School Diploma or equivalent with some coursework in business, public administration, environmental science, facility management or other job-related field and two (2) years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, environmental science, facility management or other job related field preferred.

    Necessary Special Requirements:

    • Ability to attend prescheduled weekend events;
    • Maintain a Valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record;
    • Ability and willingness to perform litter clean-up and basic cleaning tasks at recycling locations; and
    • Ability and willingness to be trained as an Inmate Supervisor.

    The Maintenance Manager leads maintenance teams responsible for repair of electrical; plumbing; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); carpentry; painting; and other building systems. Reports to the Director of Facilities and Grounds

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Oversees and assists with work of assigned maintenance team employees.
    • Addresses minor discipline problems with team members; refers serious cases to the Director.
    • Plans and prepares training and orientation for new maintenance team members.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
    • Plan work priorities, obtain necessary supplies, and assess skills needed to complete tasks.
    • Assesses building systems to plan work assignments.
    • Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments
    • Collaborates with team members to discuss upcoming work assignments; delegates assignments based on team members’ skills and experience.
    • Ensures maintenance and repair work is completely safely, effectively, and in a timely manner.
    • Inspects work performed by team members and provides daily updates on progress.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
    • Ability to identify issues and to determine repairs that are needed.
    • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

    Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • At least five years of maintenance experience required.
    • Experience with sustainable building maintenance and LEED Green Associate credentials preferred. In lieu of credentials, ability/willingness to become LEED Green Associate within 12 months of hire, followed by LEED AP O+M specialty in operations and maintenance within year 2.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs
    • Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

    Position Status: Full-Time, exempt

    SCOPE OF POSITION:

    This position reports directly to the Director of Interpretation and Visitor Experience. The primary role of this position is to manage all aspects of museum tours, the implementation and scheduling of the School Outreach Program, and other school outreach and engagement. Other responsibilities include the development of lesson plans and educator guides, developing and managing Educator Workshops and Sensory Friendly Mornings, and assistance with gallery kits and games.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage all aspects of tour scheduling—including, but not limited to, scheduling, creating updated tour schedules, working with docents to fill positions, evaluating tours and informatics.
    • Manage and implement the School Outreach Program, including working with local teachers and artists/studios, scheduling all transportation, employing evaluation, collecting needed data for grants.
    • Creation of exhibition resources for teachers and tours.
    • Develop project ideas for tours.
    • Assisting with educational and institutional programs including but not limited to, yearly docent events, large creative learning projects and programs, the annual gala, etc.
    • Provide tours as needed and assist in art projects for tours.
    • Work collaboratively with education staff to maintain the Creativity Center.
    • Undertakes other assignments as requested by the Director of Interpretive Learning.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Knowledge and experience in education, a far-reaching curiosity about contemporary art and its role in culture today, and a desire to inspire life-long appreciation for the arts in a broad and inclusive audience.
    • Is a well-organized and detail-oriented self-starter and possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as a talent for conveying ideas to others.
    • The applicant should have strong customer service skills and a background in office administration.
    • The applicant should have a minimum of a BA or BFA in art education, art history, museum education or a related field and demonstrated success in developing and implementing community-oriented museum educational initiatives.
    • Has at least two years of experience in an educational position, or customer service position.
    • INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS: Works closely with the Education, Visitor Experience,
    • Marketing and Curatorial departments. Attends all CAC staff meetings.  Values teamwork and cooperation.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • BFA or BA in art education, art history, museum education or a related field
    • Have demonstrated success in visitor engagement and service
    • Previous experience with administrative experience
    • Previous experience in educational career
    • Strong organizational skills and knowledge of efficacy processes
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
