2020 Goal: Double the production and consumption of fruits and vegetables grown within our region.

NEW: The Local Food Action Team is combining with the Regional Food Policy Council for better efficacy and broader impact.

Due to overlapping priorities and  resources the Local Food Action Team is combining with the Greater Cincinnati Regional Food Policy Council and will no longer exists as a separate Action Team.

We were a diverse group of producers, distributors, health professionals and local food advocates working together to transform the regional food system by increasing the demand, production and access to healthy, local foods.

Team  members included local farmers, food hubs, farmers markets, cooperatives, community gardeners, community supported agriculture programs, health professionals, restaurants, extension services, educational organizations, government entities and processors.

Over the past nine years, LFAT accomplished a lot, and we are grateful for the work done by many hands across the region to move the support of local food forward. Coordination of Green Umbrella's food system work will now be the responsibility of The Food Policy Council, under the Director, Michaela Oldfield. Please join us!

The State of Local Food report has just been updated!

The report showcases the incredible progress made in our regional food system over the past five years and identifies opportunities to further drive our ongoing work.
