2020 Goal: Reduce waste disposed in the residential/commercial sector by 33% as we transition to “zero waste”.
The team co-sponsors educational forums on commercial and institutional composting, organizes and promotes e-waste collection events, and launched a region-wide paper recycling campaign. Our current campaign focuses on reducing Food Waste, which makes up over a fifth of our landfill volume. The resources we have featured in our campaign and highlighted on this webpage offer information for you (as an individual, school, organization or business) to reduce the amount of food going to our landfills.
