  • March 11, 2020
  • 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
  • Mckie Recreation Center (1655 Chase Ave., Cincinnati OH 45223)

Organization: Turner Farm

The Turner Farm Community Garden Program is committed to connecting people to their food through new collaborative methods and innovative urban land use with an emphasis on sustainable biological agricultural practices, experiential learning and civic engagement.

To inspire and sustain a lifetime of gardening, our training approach to home and community vegetable gardens is rooted in classes that provide a foundation of knowledge and hands-on gardening projects in community gardens. To support you in successfully gardening at home, or in a community garden, everyone will receive a handbook outlining gardening best practices, including fact sheets and diagrams.

In addition, through the Learn-Grow-Earn Program, participants will have the opportunity to earn a garden bed for their home in exchange for participating in the garden classes, practicum and volunteer work.
