Registered program participants should meet in front of the Rowe Woods Visitor Center at our Rowe Woods location.
Based on his popular book, astronomer Dean Regas will show you the basic tips and tricks to identifying stars, constellations, planets, and more as you look up at the night sky. Want to know the name of that star? How do I find constellations like Orion, Gemini, and Taurus? When can I see the planets? You'll soon be on your way to finding 100 Things in the Night Sky. No telescope needed.
What to bring: Please also bring your own masks. Whether indoors or outdoors, masks are required for all adults and children in Kindergarten through 12th grade at all Cincinnati Nature Center programs. Masks are to be worn outside when one cannot consistently be spaced 6 feet apart. Masks are also required to be worn while inside all facilities (for example, Rowe Visitor Center, restroom, etc.).
Members $10; nonmembers $15 (includes daily admission).
Important note: As this program will be meeting outdoors to ensure social distancing, it will be run as a “fair weather program.” Extreme weather like severe storms will cancel this program. Nature Center staff will communicate the status of this program via email by 8 am on the morning of the event.
*Please note that cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the event. All programs continue, rain or shine.
Important Information For All Program Registrants: Please retain an electronic copy of your order number or save/print off a copy of the email acknowledgement as a receipt. You may be asked for your order number from your transaction to gain entry at the gate/to attend your program.
Cincinnati Nature Center will run advertised programs and events in accordance with current guidelines outlined by the CDC and local health agencies. The status or format of programs may change based on COVID-19 best practices and conditions at the time of the program. In the event that Cincinnati Nature Center cancels a program, full refunds will be issued.
