  • March 10, 2022
  • 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM
  • Boone County Extension - Enrichment Center 1824 Patrick Drive Burlington, KY 41005

Organization: Boone County Arboretum

About this event:

Learn what must be considered when incorporating native plants into your home landscape.

Native plants aren’t always easy to use in a landscape. Careful considerations for size, care, soil adaptability, and maintenance must be considered for them just like any other plant used in the landscape. Join us to hear Dr. Ellen Crocker from the University of Kentucky and Kristopher Stone, Director of Boone County Arboretum go through all of the things to consider as you incorporate native plants into your home landscape. This is a two part program with the indoor lecture at the Boone County Enrichment Center, followed by an on-site tour at the Arboretum.

FREE, but registration is required.

We will initially meet in the lower level of the the Boone County Enrichment Center for the classroom portion, then continue to the Arboretum for the tour.

Register here.
