Common Orchard Project and Turner Farm Community Garden Program are teaming up for a Fruit Tree Pruning Blitz Weekend!

This is a FREE hands-on opportunity to learn or practice your pruning skills. There will be a limited supply of tools so if you have your own, please bring them for your personal use. We will provide sterilizing supplies.

On Saturday we'll be at the East End Community Garden and on Sunday at the Camp Washington Urban Farm. Join us on either or both days:

SATURDAY, MARCH 5 - East End

Beginning Location:
East End Community Garden, 246 Setchell Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45226

10:00 to 11:00 am - Free training session

11:00 am to 1:00 pm - Pruning Blitz begins, starting at East End Community Garden and Garden District, then on to other East side orchard locations.

Parking: There is an alley that runs between Setchell Street and Strader Avenue with parking spaces. We recommend parking there or on Strader Avenue.

SUNDAY, MARCH 6 - Camp Washington & West Side

Beginning Location: Camp Washington Urban Farm, 3220 Colerain Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45225

10:00 to 11:00 am - Free training session

11:00 am to 1:00 pm - Pruning Blitz begins, starting at Camp Washington Urban Farm, then on to other West side orchard locations.

Parking: Parking available at River City Correctional Center parking lot.

PLEASE NOTE:

We will be outdoors, and it will be cold along with soggy soil. IT IS IMPORTANT TO DRESS WARM AND WEAR WEATHER APPROPRIATE BOOTS.

PLEASE NOTE that Masks are Mandatory when working in proximity – Regarding the COVID virus we will follow Ohio State protocols regarding the number of participants and best practices, and per the Turner Farm policy a face mask and signature of a wavier will be required.
