About this event:

WHAT: An Earth Day festival at the Lick Run Greenway. Free and open to the public. Bring your family and friends for an afternoon of music, tours, and workshops, including free bike tuneups and repairs, and dedication of a peace pole and bee hives.

This is an outdoor event, so please dress accordingly.

WHEN: Saturday, April 23, 2022, 1:00 - 6:00 p.m:

Continuous activities between 1:00 - 4:00 p.m - Event Lawn, 1645 Queen City Avenue

Bike Repair and Pop-Up Bike Shop with RedBike, MoBo, Queen City Bike, and Tri-State Trails: Get those bikes out of the garage and back on the road with tune ups and repairs by professional bike mechanics.

E-Bike Tours of Lick Run: Try a RedBike with electric-assist for easier pedaling and get a guided tour of the Lick Run Greenway. Tours will leave hourly, on the hour. Sign up at the RedBike table.

Booths representing South Fairmount Community Council, RedBike, IDEA school, Metro, and more.

Dedications, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. - Headwaters Area, 1911 Queen City Avenue

Celebation of new honey bee hives with Queen City Pollinator Project.

Tours, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. - Event Lawn, 1645 Queen City Avenue

Lick Run 101: Controlling Stormwater; Rebuilding a Community – for those new to Lick Run. Meet at Event Lawn.

Hillside Steps of South Fairmount – Explore historic public staircases with Spring in Our Steps. Meet at Event Lawn.

Biking the Future Mill Creek Greenway – An Off-Road Bike Trip to Northside and Back. Bring your bicycle. Riding will be on dirt and gravel surfaces. Meet at Event Lawn.

Yoga, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. - Headwaters Area, 1911 Queen City Avenue

PARKING: Main parking lot at 1645 Queen City Avenue or satellite lot at 1911 Queen City Avenue. There is also on-street parking on the south side of Westwood and north side of Queen City avenues.
