Join Green Umbrella & Cincy 2030 District at a Solar Town Hall on Earth Day! 

We invite our Cincinnati 2030 District community and all those interested in solar to participate in this exciting opportunity to learn about the latest in solar technologies on Earth Day, April 22nd from 3:00-6:00 pm. Join us at the NECA/IBEW Net Zero Training Center on the west side as we hear from experts across the solar industry and connect with leaders in our community implementing solar at a variety of residential and commercial scales. Also hear from a number of solar-powered building owners and providers! This free event will conclude with a Happy Hour Networking Session from 4:30-6:30 pm. No registration is required. Green Umbrella's Climate Policy Director, Savannah Sullivan, is hosting the next installment of of the Regional Climate Action Lunch & Learn Webinar Series featuring partner, Groundwork Ohio River Valley, on 4/20 from 12:00-12:30 pm. Listen in to learn about impactful community engagement principles, Groundwork's ongoing Climate Safe Neighborhoods initiative, and first steps local governments can take to support frontline communities in their fight towards climate resiliency. The Cincinnati 2030 District is hosting their first District Summit on June 15th. This half-day mini-conference will serve as a pre-conference to this year's Sustainability Summit, and will feature a partner expo, educational sessions, keynote by Mark Fisher of the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, and a happy hour networking session. Tri-State Trails is updating their Low-Stress Bike Map and needs community input. Have you used the Low-Stress Bike Map before? If so, help the TST team with their new and improved 2022 edition by taking this survey (due 4/15).

The City of Cincinnati announced plans to update the Green Cincinnati Plan (GCP) on March 17th. The GCP is a comprehensive set of goals and recommendations to address climate change and advance the sustainability, equity, and resilience of the city. Help shape the next iteration of the plan by completing the city's community climate survey today! 

USDA is offering $1 Billion in funding for pilot projects that provide incentives to producers and landowners that advance climate-smart agricultural production practices. Proposals under $5 million due 5/27.

The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) is accepting applications for the second annual round of Transit Infrastructure Fund (TIF) grants toward road, bridge, sidewalk and other upgrades throughout Metro’s Hamilton County service area (due 6/30). 

The City of Cincinnati offers Energy Equity Grants to support energy efficiency upgrades in low-income multifamily buildings and provide energy efficiency education for renters and building owners (property owners can apply by 7/1).

The Devou Good Foundation is offering $500 rebates for e-bike purchases.
