Faith Communities Go Green, a Green Umbrella and EquaSion collaboration, is hosting two exciting interfaith events in May. Register today for "Sacred Grounds" - a webinar featuring stories & best practices for sustainable stewardship of the grounds of faith communities, happening on May 16th. You can also register for the FCGG-hosted tour of Mount Auburn Presbyterian Church on May 22nd to learn about this local congregation's journey toward carbon neutrality.

Happy Bike Month! Join Tri-State Trails for two upcoming events on 5/20
|
|
|
May is National #BikeMonth! Celebrate biking as a fun and healthy commuting option for all by joining Tri-State Trails on Friday, May 20th at these two free events. First, ride over to the 13th annual Breakfast on the Bridge from 7:00-9:00 am on the Newport side of the Purple People Bridge for free coffee & bagels. Follow it up later in the day with a bike-themed Green Drinks Happy Hour from 5:00-8:00 pm at Newport on the Levee's Bridgeview Box Park. Drinks & networking will be from 6:00-8:00 pm and $1 from every West 6th beer sold will support our regional Pop-Up Bike Shops.

Tri-State Trails is also hosting a Remembrance Action Ride on May 18th from 6:00-8:00 pm to remember and celebrate the lives of those lost in traffic crashes.

Cincinnati 2030 District hosts first District Summit on 6/15
|

The Cincinnati 2030 District invites all members, partners, and supporters to the first Cincinnati 2030 District Summit on Wednesday, June 15th. This half-day mini-conference will take place in-person as a pre-conference intensive for this year's Midwest Regional Sustainability Summit (taking place the following day on Thursday, June 16th).
The 2030 District Summit will feature a professional partner expo, educational sessions, a keynote by Mark Fisher of the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, and a happy hour networking event between 1:00-6:00 pm at Union Hall in OTR. This event is FREE for

The City of Cincinnati is updating the Green Cincinnati Plan, a comprehensive set of goals and recommendations to address climate change and advance the sustainability, equity, and resilience of the city. Help shape the next iteration of the plan by completing the city's community climate and climate action recommendation surveys today.
Hamilton County R3Source is hosting their Spring 2022 Community Compost Bin and Rain Barrel Sale. Create more sustainable habits this year by starting your very own backyard compost bin or rain barrel! Orders must be placed by 6/2, and purchases picked up on 6/4. Attend one of their composting seminars and receive a $20 off coupon.
The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) is accepting applications for the second annual round of Transit Infrastructure Fund (TIF) grants toward road, bridge, sidewalk and more throughout Metro’s Hamilton County service area. Applications are due on 6/30.
The City of Cincinnati offers Energy Equity Grants to support energy efficiency upgrades in low-income multifamily buildings and provide energy efficiency education for renters and building owners. Property owners can apply by 7/1.
Cincinnati Parks is now a host site for the Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist program. This is a research-based education program supported by OSU. Become a certified Volunteer Naturalist this year and help to spread environmental education to the public. Applications are open now, and the program runs from 9/10 to 11/12.
