Green Umbrella to Launch Regional Climate Collaborative 7/21 Celebrate With Us At Green Drinks!

Register today for the virtual launch of Green Umbrella's Regional Climate Collaborative, a network that will support regional governments, organizations, and their communities to design and implement equitable climate solutions across Greater Cincinnati. This free event is open to governments, community-based organizations, businesses, and community members across our 10-county region. As this effort is focused on policies and public-sector action, we specifically encourage local and regional government officials to join and learn more about this new and exciting initiative. Learn more about Regional Climate Collaboratives & our Climate Policy work in the meantime.

And if you're in the Greater Cincinnati area, celebrate with us in-person at our next Green Drinks at Braxton Brewing! From 4:30-5:30 pm, we'll explore resilience projects in Covington, followed by drinks and networking from 5:30-7:00 pm. Braxton will donate $1 to Green Umbrella from each Garage beer sold during the event.

Tri-State Trails to host Ales for Trails in July to Benefit CROWN Cincinnati

Tri-State Trails is hosting Ales for Trails throughout the month of July to benefit the Cincinnati Riding or Walking Network (the CROWN)! Visit local breweries along the CROWN trail network where riders & participants can drink beer, earn swag, and be entered to win a grand prize. Follow these four steps to get started on July 1st. CPS Outside Spotlight: Abby Streitmann of Clark Montessori
|

|
Abby Streitmann is an educator at Clark Montessori High school where she prioritizes environmental education and creates opportunities for her students to engage with nature. At both junior & senior levels, Abby focuses on training and the development of green skills and career readiness for her students across agriculture, food, natural resources, plant science, and parks and recreation management. Through her programming, students care for raised garden beds, work with pollinator gardens, interact with trails near the campus, care for chickens, cook with the eggs, and more. Abby is an excellent educator and we're glad to have her as a partner of CPS Outside.

The City of Cincinnati is updating the Green Cincinnati Plan, a comprehensive set of goals and recommendations to address climate change and advance the sustainability, equity, and resilience of the city. Help shape the next iteration of the plan by completing the city's community climate and climate action recommendation surveys today.
Hamilton County R3Source is seeking a General Interest Representative for their Hamilton County Solid Waste Policy Committee. This is a two-year appointment with six meetings per year. Policy Committee members must be Hamilton County residents. Applications are due by 7/1.
Keep Cincinnati Beautiful is offering Safe & Clean Grants of $1,000 to $10,000 to fund community-driven problem-solving projects of all kinds, thanks to over $500,000 in funding from the City of Cincinnati's Safe & Clean Neighborhood Fund.
Ohio Department of Development is offering Brownfield Remediation grants for the environmental assessment and remediation of brownfield sites across Ohio.
The City of Cincinnati offers Energy Equity Grants to support energy efficiency upgrades in low-income multifamily buildings and provide energy efficiency education for renters and building owners (tenant programs ongoing; property owners apply by 7/1).
