In 2017, the Ohio Environmental Council, Ohio Sierra Club, Center for Biological Diversity and Heartwood sued the U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Bureau of Land Management for failing to consider threats to public health, endangered species and watersheds before opening more than 40,000 acres of forest for oil and gas development. Last Friday, a federal judge ruled in their favor, putting a halt to leases and requiring the agencies to redo their environmental analysis of fracking in Wayne National Forest.

Seeking Online Farm-to-School Focus Groups

The Greater Cincinnati Regional Food Policy Council is seeking educators to participate in 90-minute online focus groups on food and nutrition education and school gardens. These focus groups are part of a farm to school planning process currently underway in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. With the support of a USDA Farm to School Planning Grant, Green Umbrella is working to develop a robust farm to school action plan for the Greater Cincinnati region. Your feedback is valuable to ensure that this plan accurately reflects the

priorities, challenges, and needs of teachers in the region. Participants will receive a $50 gift card for their time. If you are interested in participating, please complete this Google Form
